Golf Course Photography

During my time as a greenkeeper, I took many photos of golf courses and was often amazed at how a particularly lovely view of an inviting, challenging and picturesque golf hole looked more like a football field when I developed the film.

The introduction of digital cameras came with the promise that if you take enough photos, eventually one will turn out well. I have yet to experience this good fortune.

Workshop “Food & Beverage Management in Golf Courses” – Porto – O rescaldo

Nos finais de Outubro a Associação de Gestores de Golfe de Portugal realizou um Workshop com o tema “Food & Beverage” na Universidade Portucalense no Porto. A ideia desta acção vem no seguimento da aposta da actual Direcção no plano de formação do gestores de campos de golfe.

É com forte convicção que o Presidente João Paulo Sousa assume que o principal objectivo para os próximos anos é criar acções de formação nas várias áreas de actuação que os Directores de Campos de Golfe, de Norte a Sul, procurando assim contribuir para uma constante refrescar de conhecimentos dos profissionais do sector.

It has been my intention for some time to write an article about my experience on the importance of hiring a specialized, professional irrigation audit firm before deciding to make any type of investment related to irrigation of our golf course.  In reality, this conclusion can be applied to any area of the golf club when it comes to making an infrastructure of a certain magnitude and in facing our members and clients.
